    Professions that will be reduced

Over the next five years, the replacement and reduction of various professions by approximately 2% to 5% are projected. Such an adaptive period is not unfamiliar to us. With the development of new technologies, it is logical that professions are being replaced and automations are being created to simplify and enhance processes in many fields. This process doesn't occur all at once; the replacements and implementations take place gradually in stages. The disappearance of professions is an integral part of development, but in turn, something new, interesting, and absorbing emerges that addresses more global issues arising in the realities of the modern world. The largest job reductions are expected in administrative positions and in the fields of security and trade. Organizations predict job losses by 2027 in roles such as accounting and administration clerks, cashiers, accountants, as well as administrators and secretaries, which is a consequence primarily of digitization and process automation.

Reduction does not equate to complete elimination. Professions will still exist but in a reduced capacity. We propose acquainting yourself with the list of professions that will be reduced because advanced technologies will partially take over work processes.

Data entry administrators. Administrative staff and executive secretaries. Accounting staff. Security personnel. Housekeepers. Cashiers. Managers of material and technical accounting. Pickers and factory workers. Employees of the postal service. Bank tellers. Shop assistants. Telemarketing specialists. Customer service workers. Business service and administration managers. Door-to-door (field) salespeople, street vendors, and related workers.

These vacancies are already being easily filled in the process of optimization and digitalization.

    Professions with High Demand:

There is expected to be a significant increase in the number of job opportunities in the fields of education (+10%), agriculture (+30%), and digital commerce. Growth is anticipated in professions related to digital technologies.

The greatest growth in job positions is expected in the following roles:

Agricultural Equipment Operators. Heavy Truck and Bus Drivers. Vocational Education Teachers. Mechanics and Machine Repairers. Business Development Specialists. Construction Designers and Related Professions. University and Higher Education Instructors. Electrical Engineers. Sheet Metal and Structural Metal Workers, Formers, and Welders. Special Education Teachers. Light Truck or Delivery Services Drivers. Digital Transformation Experts. Construction Workers. Sustainable Development Specialists. Digital Marketing and Strategy Experts.

A specific group of professions associated with sustainable development and the environment deserves special attention. This could indicate that the "green transition" is simultaneously a significant labor market trend.

The "green" energy transition is a global trend in climate and economic policy that necessitates the fundamental transformation of entire industries. The role of metallurgy in this process is crucial, as key decisions to achieve carbon neutrality in energy, construction, transportation, and manufacturing rely on the use of steel.

The most important skills are analytical, creative thinking, and technological literacy.

Analytical thinking is considered a fundamental forward-facing skill, occupying the largest share among all skills at an average of 9%. The importance of cognitive skills is growing the fastest, reflecting the significance of solving complex problems in the workplace. Enterprises report that creative thinking is gaining importance slightly faster than analytical thinking.

Technological literacy is the third key skill that is rapidly developing.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are a priority, with a particular emphasis on the workplace.

DEI at work is especially important for young employees. According to Manpower Group's data, 68% of Generation Z employees are dissatisfied with their organization's efforts to create a diverse and inclusive work environment. Additionally, 56% of Generation Z employees are unwilling to work for a company that lacks DEI leadership.

The most common development strategies are as follows:

81.2% - Investing in training and development in the workplace. 80% - Accelerating process automation. 45.5% - Transitioning existing personnel from roles that are being reduced to growing roles. 25.5% - Outsourcing and staff augmentation for significant areas of work. 24.3% - Expanding the use of contract work. 22.4% - Hiring a significantly larger amount of permanent staff. 12.8% - Significant reduction in current vacancies and professions.

These trends can confidently be extrapolated to Ukraine as well, with the only adjustment being that in our country, in addition to the above, the full-scale war that has been ongoing for over a year is also a transformative force to which the business has adapted fairly effectively.
